ok...if you been on depo for 3 months and wear a condom...does it lessen the chance of you getting pregnant?

yes, provided that the woman is the one who got the shot and the guy wears the condom . If you've been keeping up to date with your shots (you're supposed to get one every 10-13 weeks), Depo and condoms are an extremely efficient combination against pregnancy

Well a condom is that extra protection. Depo is I think 99% effective - 1 in 99 women in a year of having it injected at the proper time each month (or whatever it is) will get preggo. A condom is extra protection, obviously, and will protect against STDs.

Depo is 99.7% effective alone...which is like 3 in 10,000 will get pregnant. If you feel fate or luck has never really been your friend and you don't like those odds, use condoms, too. Huh maybe I should take my own advice...

You still have a 1% chance of pregnancy, just like you are just on one method of birth control.

ANY TIME you have sex, protected (shot, condom, plan B etc) or not, period or not, depo or not, you risk the chance of pregnancy.

you should still use condoms...
my friend got pregnate on the shot and they didnt use condoms
