Two possibilities that I can think of are:

1) Your internal CMOS (clock) battery was fried in the serg. For some reason replacing your internal battery will get your hard drives back working. I don't know how this is but it was covered in our local paper in the tech section a while back.

2) Reinstall JMICRON Driver. Should be on your installation disk. This will give it factory settings but you should then upload to the newest JMicron Driver. This is what recognizes your hard drives.

Check on the IDE cable just pull it up on both sides one at a time then return it back again.

It maybe just lossen up and has no connection to your hard disk.

Check also other cable connectors and your plugs. They must not be move this will cause disconnections.

knock the raid off.. to have raid you have to have a minimum of two Hdd installed in the system.

you may have blown your hard drive but more likely have lost the boot sector,, so boot up your system and hit the key that gets you into the bios check that it sees your hard drive,, if it dose then you will need to reinstall windows again, if it dose not see he hard drive then it is a case of you buying another hard drive...
