i'd desire to sense the tight squeeze of the 50's while i replaced right into a baby. all and sundry loosened up by utilising 1969 and then issues have been cool till around 1980 and then skinny ties got here wherein replaced into the mark of the beast. Reagan's morning in u.s. meant all the efforts of the hippies to shake off the shackles of oppression have been for naught and the 1950's got here lower back with a vengeance. they are asserting that the 1930's have been a similar age and that the conflict era replaced into the swing lower back. If i'd desire to have faith that i could carry out desire for however the 30 years between swings has come and previous and we are nonetheless residing in a Victorian nightmare. i could say 1974 replaced into the intense water mark for the human race and the tide of livability is persevering with to recede.

Oh, "carryng water, then having to heat it, no electricity, no voting for the Gals, having to study 'Home Economics' "just in case, Dear", peice-work, men having to work 12-15 hours a day just to 'almost' feed their families.... " NOT!

I don't think there is anything so great about the 'good ol' days, Hon. Progress does indeed make change, but I wouldn't give-up the progress our Scientists, Doctors, Contractors, Engineers, well you get it, for anything. I am living in the 'good ol days' and hope they keep getting better.

Well, in the good ol days (so I'm told) you didn't have to worry that some jack*ss would come jack your car stereo in the middle of the night. Or your car. (which happened to me recently-ish)
Also no one would ever think a chick was being lazy or not pulling her weight if she stayed home with the kids and cleaned house all day.

Life was slower, you enjoyed your family more, you may not have as much but you learned to live with what you had.

People were friendly, spoke to everyone you saw.

That's my idea of the good ol' days.

I was just 7 years old at the start of WW2 and they were defiantly not the good old days for me. Every night the German bombers were doing their best to flatten my city. Rationing was in full force and lasted for years after the war ended. I managed to survive both these things only to be called up in the army when I was 18 years old. No those were not the good old days.

If you were a minority or a woman, the good old days were not so good.

Imagine coming out as an atheist in the 1940's or 1950's.

That's the time when you had no responsibilities. All you had to worry about were your chores and your homework. That was the life.
