You're the typical example of the other old saying.
....it's better to remain silent, and "thought" perhaps a FOOL
....than to "open your MOUTH"
....and remove "all DOUBT"

It may be just my observation but it seems like you have way too much time on your hands and you should try volunteer work in a hospital where people have REAL problems. Get a hobbie or a job or do something with your life because you only get one kick at the can!

I don't care how old you are . If you ask a sensible question, you'll get a variety of answers. If you ask a patronising question, designed to bait older people, you may get that particular answer. Its up to you.
If you are, indeed, a young person, what are you hanging around "Seniors" for anyway? Can't cut it anywhere else ?

OK, I'll provide a different response to your question. I've noticed by your plethora (look it up!) of questions that you seem to be a bit obcessed with senior citizens. If you were asking the same types and numbers of questions in the GLTB section I would be thinking that you were, perhaps, a closeted member of that group........are you a seasoned citizen wannabe, lol......

Well, you will be old one day - if you are lucky and take good care of yourself.
In the meantime, you have a lot to learn. I know you don't like hearing that. I certainly didn't at your age, but it is as true as anything gets.

If you clicked onto this site just to insult Seniors and push their buttons - I hope that you are enjoying yourself! We are not amused, but then again, we have dealt with far worse than you! And, yes, unless you get on the wrong end of a gun held by a jealous husband during your early years, you will be old too!

depends on the context of the question...i am young but wise beyond my years due to things i have experienced, so i always heed the advice of my elders, no matter how many years my senior they happen to be...they have been there done that. I listen to all the stories my grandmother tells, and it amazes me where she has been, what she has seen. Young people always disregard our elders because they arent "with the times" or thier stories are outdated and what not, but honestly, yeah times have changed but lifes underlying problems and solutions remain the same...

Trolls who keep coming to a forum just to post questions that they know will annoy the group should except to keep getting the same answers. We say that particular phrase because we know that what you are doing is something you'll outgrow when you get more life under your belt.

Yes, they do have something meaningful to say and in fact, they probably have said them to you. A wise advise is worthless to those who don't want to hear it.
If you keep hearing, "you will be old one day too," then you probably have said something to them that were critical to their age or deminished capability.
Try listening to them with an intent that you will learn from them. You will hear whole different side of their knowledge and character.
