Starting pitcher, yes.

Gossage ranks slightly ahead of him among all pitchers.

Bert was an awesome pitcher and dominated with the amount of wins he had and all those strikeouts too. Yes the case can certainly be made that he is the most desserving pitcher not in the Hall of Fame. Three more I would include are Tommy John and Luis Tiant and Jack Morris.

Without a doubt, his numbers measure up there with the all-time greats, and he did most of it with medicore teams, imagine what his numbers would have been if he had been with the Dodgers, or the Orioles during his peak years. The big knock against him is that he was never considered one of best pitchers of his era, just a really good one. Bert deserves to be in. On that note, Jack Morris and Goose Gossage also need to be in the Hall of Fame.

No way, man. Not till he's cleared of PEDs, the Kennedy assassination, being a democrat, the spit ball, and conspiring to throw games. He's not mentioned in the Mitchell report but the writers don't like the guy so he's dirty about something. There are conspiracies all over the place. We have to be a LOT more careful than we have been. I mean, look at Cecil Fielder. That guy's way over 200 lbs. He's a juicer. C'mon. We all know these things.

I think jack Morris should be considered. I am biased but I think Dale Murphy's numbers should be looked at again. 2 time MVP. Never had a good team. 398 HRs, led the NL in HR 3+ times. 9 time gold glove. His numbers should be looked at closer as far as 70's 80's bb #'s go. Not to mention a hell of a human being.

He may be, but Jim Rice should have been voted in by now. Just because he wasn't the nicest to the media is what's kept him out so far. I think he has one year left of elegibility. He was the most dominant hitter for years, during his time.
