-2y - 8 ≥ 6Y + 16
divide all thru by 2:

-y - 4 ≥ 3y + 8
plus 4 on both sides:

-y ≥ 3y + 12

graphically, you can draw a Z against y graph for z=-y and z=3y+12 and find the values, by identifying frm what values of y will have the first graph equal or above the second. --> you'll never go wrong!

to find intersection: -y=3y+12
y=-3
ans:y less than or equal to -3.

if u use algebra,
from -y ≥ 3y + 12
bring e 3y from right over
-4y≥ 12
divide by -4 (flip the sign)
and: y less than or equal to -3.

-2(y+4) >= 6Y+16
-2y-8 >= 6Y+16
-y-4 >= 3Y+8 (Does Y=y? Assuming it does)
-12 >= 4y
-3 >=y
y<=-3
