Just the opposite. The democrats need someone who will pull in the independant votes as well as a few republican votes. Hillary is too polarizing and will drive undecided voters away. In fact, if Hillary is the nominee, she will create a backlash that will cause republicans and undecideds to rise up to defeat her. Although, Hillary may still win, it will be by the slimmest of margins. hardly a mandate for the change she is talking about. The negative campaign on both sides will leave both camps bloodied, and the American people will have even less reason to believe that anyone in Washington cares about them.
Obama, on the other hand, is not polarizing but inclusive. Obama will draw independants, undecideds, and even some republican voters in who are sick of the way the Bush camp has lied and manipulated them during the last eight years. Obama will reach across the isle to the republicans to solve some of the great problems in America. Obama is not concerned with your ethnicity, your religion, your political persuasion, or your sexual orientation. Obama is concerned with the welfare of all Americans, blue states and red states. The same can not be said of Hillary.

Actually Obama and all the other leading Democratic candidates are beating all of the candidates in the Republican party in the latest polls with the exception of Mike Huckabee. He seems to be, as of today, the only electable Republican candidate against any Democrats. But we still have 11 more months to see if that changes.

traditionally democrats shoot themselves interior the foot approximately this time interior the elections. so a tactics, Obama, Hillary, Edwards have all carried out and/or stated something stupid which will push extra reasonable democrats in the direction of the Republican candidate and finally Republicans will win the white homestead back. I doubt this contemporary crop of democrats would be strengthened via the ineptitude displayed via the congress they elected and their lack of ability to end any of their mandates.

No but if Hillary does get the nomination the republicans win again. getting to sense history repeating itself. why are the Democrat's constantly throwing the elections year after year. The democrat's out number the republicans like 3 to 1 yet keep throwing the elections with the garbage they call candidates. The republican's if they voted 100% for a candidate they couldn't win if the democrat's didn't vote for them also. Wake up America.

Obama could beat the Republicans. Republicans hate Hillary more than Obama, and some republicans like Obama better than, say, Giuliani, Huckabee, or Romney.

I think if Hillary does get the nomination, the Dems don't get the White House. 50% of voters would not vote for her. It also depends on the Repub candidate, I think Guiliani will win in 2008.

Hillary Clinton is the strongest Democrat to quell any Republican takeover in 2008. Obama might be popular but when voting comes, he could lose to an experienced Republican.

Are you kidding? Have you watched a debate lately? The republicans are a bunch of schmoes...the best one, the rising star, Huckabee is the only interesting one out of the bunch but I don't think this country is conservative enough to elect a baptist preacher.
I support Hillary and hope that she wins. But if not, Obama will win and we'll still be in good hands. And then finally, the era of stupidity (aka, GWB) will be over.
