Because you haven't had cats before, I am assuming your cousin gave you food to feed. If they didn't and you had to pick some up, make sure it's the same kind. If it isn't, switching could solve your problems. Stress ruins appetites. Aside from just being some place new, there could be other stress factors you're missing. Try keeping the kitten in a quiet room with food, water and litter. Only leave a little food in the bowl. If you fill the bowl and the kitten eats in the evening when you're not watching or sleeping, you will never know because the amount eaten may not show. Trust that most animals will not allow themselves to starve to death. When the body reaches certain critical energy levels, it searches for food. Know that it takes more than a weekend to starve, so even if the kitten never eats at yours, it shouldn't die. If you are still worried: Offer yummies on top of the food. A small amount of tuna, or yogurt is usually enough to get a kitten chowing down.
