so what happens if we clone humans do you think people would make clone army for usa or something like that and people could use this to make a empire for their own game like star wars episode 3 when the dark lord made his republic into a empire by deceiving the senate

First of all, it's impossible to clone a full-grown human. Even a clone would need to start out as a baby, and take many years to grow up into an adult, during which time it would be subject to all sorts of experiences and would form its own personality. So for the purposes of raising an army, cloning humans is about as inefficient as you can get.

I do not think we should be cloning humans at this stage in time until the technology is more mature. Right now it's a highly inefficient process and depending on what method you use, could result in genetic defects. However, once we've got the technology down pat, then I see no problems with it. I doubt I'd ever want to clone myself, but I wouldn't prohibit others from doing so if they wanted (again, once the technology was mature).

Probably the biggest advantage would be in cloning individual organs. If you have heart disease or kidney failure or cirrhosis of the liver, we may someday be able to clone you a replacement organ from your own tissue. This would eliminate any possibility of rejection from the organ coming from another person or from artificial parts. It would also eliminate organ shortages from the lack of donors, since donors would no longer be needed.

Then all we'd need to worry about was another leader trying to make his country into an empire by deceiving the senate....

I agree it will happen. They are already cloning embryos to grow new organs or something like that so the line will just keep getting pushed further and further back.

Future post human architect - Dolly the sheep was a clone so how can you say cloning humans is impossible?? Granted, she did not live very long, but techniques will advance. Imagine how impossible that would have seemed to people even 100 years ago. No one would have been able to even grasp the concept.

i would not be greatly surprised if it did ensue. there is going to be somebody someplace who would not see a concern with it and has the skill to do it. i don't think of it (taking cloning here to be like with Dolly, an entire organism raised from embryo to loss of life) must be carried out at this factor for particular because of the fact we are nevertheless researching approximately telomeres (between different issues), and a clone created from an older individual would not have a appropriate probability at an entire existence (assuming they could have one to start with being the 1st human clone. . .). that's the reason Dolly did not stay very long. Telomeres are like protecting endcaps for chromosomes. They shorten each and every time the cellular divides, and previous a undeniable factor they are able to't shorten any extra and that's the tip of the cellular. initiate with shorter telomeres in all your cells and you're unlikely to stay as long. different arguments surrounding it count on extra precis innovations. Cloning human beings and keeping them basically for areas could be incorrect, because of the fact (i assume) they could be human beings as able to feeling/questioning/suffering as the different human. previous that any objections i individually have are gut feeling particularly than reasoned, so i will save them to myself. Cloning -in simple terms- areas is somewhat distinctive subject, which has its very own dilemmas. i won't be able to reason those out at this factor the two, so back i will go away them out.
