The cell cycle is made up of three main stages:
1. Interphase - the normal life of the cell during which the new daughter cells grow by adding cytoplasm and organelles. If the cell is going to divide, the DNA is copied during interphase's S stage.
2. Mitosis - the process that divides the copied DNA evenly between the two new nuclei.
3. Cytokinesis - the process that divides the rest of the cell into the two new daughter cells.

The cell cycle is composed of two main phases: the bigger phase is called interphase a short phase known as mitosis In interphase, the cell goes through G1 (Growth 1 phase), S (Synthesis phase-where DNA is duplicated), and G2 (Growth 2 phase). After everything is duplicated, the cell is ready for cell division or mitosis. The first phase in mitosis is called prophase, where the nuclear membrane disintegrates, and the chormatin material condense to form the chromosomes. Moreover, centriolies duplicate forming asters and spindle fibers start to form. In metaphase, chormosomes line at the equatorial plate (the middle of the cell) and the chromosomes can be visible here. Each chromosome is attached via the centromere by spindle fibers from the two asters present at opposite equators. In anaphase, sister chromatids separate and move or migrate to opposite poles In telophase, the two cells complete its division, cytokinesis often occurs is animal cells, the cell plate is formed in plant cells. and the nuclear membrane reappears, and the chormosomes change back to chromatin.

Cell cycle is divided into two major phases: - Interphase - Mitotic cell division (M phase) *Interphase is divided into 3 shorter phases: - G1 phase - S phase - G2 phase *M phase is divided into 2 major parts: - Mitosis - Cytokinesis What happen in cell cycle? Here's the answer: G1 phase: Synthesis of protein and new organelles S phase: DNA replication G2 phase: Growing of cell and accumulation of energy M phase: The process of cytokinesis and mitosis is occured. Hope this information is helpful! ;-)
