Okay.
So, my teacher told me this is going to be a really hard topic, and that it was my fault for choosing it.

And she said
"Make sure it is a RESEARCH paper and NOT just a REPORT"

But I am having some issues figuring out how I can make it a research paper.
Like, what can I research ABOUT Pop Art, that will make it specifically a research paper, and not a report.

Do you have any idea what I can do?

Like, wasn't Pop Art the revolution of something...
Or the Revoultion of something was the cause of Pop Art...

I don't know.

I wish I could change my topic...but I have a psycho teacher.

So, if you know what it is about Pop Art that I can specifically research, that would be great.

(It can't be a person. So I can't do anything like Andy Warhol or something. So, that sucks.)

I already stated that I can't do any research on a specific person.

First research the topic; what is pop art? define it. then go from there. what interests you in pop art. what does it symbolize. give examples as well.

DAMN!!!
I looked at this question, and I was like "ANDY WARHOL!!!"
but you said no. gah!!
You should put together a timeline of Pop Art and how it evolved over the years, and make sure to stick in lots of pop culture influences, ie The Beatles, Andy Warhol, The Rolling Stones, etc. and then do a little thing about how pop culture has changed over the years, and then do a summary of then, and now. Wrap it up with some reasons why you chose this particular subject, what intrests you about it, and what you learned, and Voila! Instant A.

EDIT:
The part about what you learned is essencial, thats what makes it a research piece. ^_^ good luck!!!!

Read up (and study the paintings of) Roy Lichtenstein and write your paper on how comic books (and the comic book drawing style) influenced pop art.

(Or- for a tougher but more exciting topic- familiarize yourself with the works of Frank Miller and Neil Gaiman and write about how contemporary comic book artists are influenced by pop art.)

What's so hard about Pop Art? Just Wiki it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_art
and go from there. Pop Art is popular culture "elevated" to art.

All you have to know is that it was the art movement right after "abstract expressionism," and just before "minimalism."

Good luck.
