ever since I was a young boy
I played the silver ball
from Soho down to Brighton
I must have played em all
but I ain't seen nothing like him in any amusement hall
that deaf dumb and blind kid
sure plays a mean pinball
he stands like a statue
becomes part of the machine
feeling all the bumpers
always playing clean
he plays by intuition
the digit counters fall
that deaf dumb and blind kid
sure plays a mean pinball
he's a pinball wizard
there has to be a twist' a pinball wizard's got
such a supple wrist
how do you think he does it?
I don't know
what makes him so good?
ain't got no distractions
can't hear buzzers and bells
don't see no lights a-flashin
he plays by sense of smell
always gets a replay he never tilts at all
that deaf dumb and blind kid
sure plays a mean pinball
I thought I was
the Bally table king
but I just handed
my pinball crown to him
even on my favorite table
he can beat my best
his disciples lead him in
and he just does the rest
he's got crazy flipper fingers
I've never seen him fall
that deaf dumb and blind kid
sure plays a mean pinball

sure do hope I got this right - they were singing a lot faster than I can type - had to get out the CD and listen to it twice to get what I did

one of my all time favorite movies - LOVED Elton in those monstrous platform shoes

thank goodness for spellcheck !! found several mis-spelled words, guess my fingers aren't as fast as I hoped

If your talking pin-ball machines then just a few months ago! A friend actully bought one, and apparently I cheesed off his son when I got the top score after just three games! Before that it was probably more than 25 years.

The last time I played pinball was in the arcades in Asbury Park, New Jersey back in the early 70's.

OK, so I immediately thought of that silver, spinning disco ball thingie. It's been awhile...back in the 70's I think....Donna Summer, Village People, Gloria Gaynor...YMCA (with the moves) lol.....

The digital versions aren't as good, but I am currently addicted to "Peggle", which I get to play free on-line.
