It is definitely possible and impossible depending on how you hold the egg. Not even AHHHnald Schwartzenagger could break an egg if he were holding it between his index finger and thumb on the two pointy ends of the egg. You can win a lot of $5 bets with that trick.
However, holding it in most any manner where the force is applied to the center section of the egg, it will crack with moderate squeezing and yes, it will make a mess

actually, i can crack an egg perfectly with one hand. the trick is to hold it in such a way that one whole side is exposed, and hit it hard against the side of a bowl. once there is a clear, strong crack, yyou squeeze and sort of twist the shel halves, so that the yolk comes out

I think you are confusing this with the trick of placing an egg between the heels of both your hands with the narrowest part against one heel and the widest part against the other. By doing that, and trying to press the heels of your hands together, youl be applying force along the strongest parts of the egg, and can't break it.

I just did over the sink, very messy.
I prefer my one-handed egg cracking method of whacking it smartly on the edge of the frying pan. It's fun for me, I feel like a master shef.

with a clean egg........NO. with an egg of roughly 5-7+ days previous.......consumer-friendly. reason = the little air-sac in-area of the egg acts as a organic "ask your self-absorber" for the (meant) Embryo of the Egg to guard the Hatchling Chick in-area until it could style sufficient to grow to be a stay chick. by using fact the egg gets `older` , the exterior between the shell and the bubble of air loosens and helps the air to unfold extra around the shell , subsequently transforming into weaker and much less resilient. eggs made for the food table are no longer undertaking to the chicken having a chicken around to furnish `breeding`. eggs that are made to furnish greater chickens for `sale` are undertaking to the chicken Syndrome. in case you have your guy or woman chicken coop for eggs which you employ for the table , you're no longer likely to have a chicken interior the coop. in case you prefer to reproduce greater chooks , you have Foghorn Leg-horn around to `strut his stuff`. tipping the egg on its area dis-places the air-sac and helps greater effective rigidity on the weaker aspects of the shell to be accessible to cracking. the main effectual factors of the egg are the two ends. seem at it from a geometric and mathematical attitude and you will see what i`m announcing. an aluminium field will squash down greater handy in case you place rigidity on its area , whilst in comparison with attempting to squash it from good to backside. (attempt it , with equivalent bodyweight and rigidity)

you have to squeeze in the middle
the ends are really strong, so they won't bust
but yea the middle is the way to go,
unless you dont want a godawful mess to clean up
