I met the love of my life 6 months ago, we've since travelled together & moved in together (about 3 months). We're trying for a baby, have joint health insurance and are talking about spending the rest of our lives together. However the M-word (marriage) has never been spoken...
We're both 40 and neither of us have been married before, mainly because we've been wating for the right person to come along.
I feel that he has and I guess that a ring for Christmas would be a pretty solid Hint that I do want to make things official between us. Is there anything wrong with doing that??
He currently often wears a ring that an ex gave him some time ago. He says he feels "naked" without one. I've previously mentioned that I'd like to get him a new one & he really liked the idea, but he was probably thinking we'd go shopping for one together....

There's nothing fishy about him or desperate about me. We know each other through long-standing (15+ years) friends. Whatever you may thing of the ring idea, I'm not some twit who's being taken for a ride and neither is he.

"Are you psychic? I have a feeling he has no intention of marrying you or spending any longer with you than suits his agenda"
Missingora, obviously you consider yourself to be the psychic one.
