I know a number of women who would agree to this as is said in the bible while sitting in church or in public but have a different view when they return home.
I personally think this isn't the right message for a presidential candidate to be pushing. There are far to many women who are going to be offended.

Colossians 3:18-19
18. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
I think he is pointing the finger at Hilary to sit down and shut up.... Men rule the world... doesn't he realize she wears the pants her family.
I respect the fact that my wife has a brain and is a free thinker... it makes life more interesting in my house. We actually talk about real life things instead of what color nail polish she should get the next she is at the nail salon.

I additionally do no longer have faith in transubstantiation, meaning the bread and wine develop into the actual physique and blood of Christ, yet that would not advise i'm going to ridicule or question the Catholics for one in all those perception. so a techniques as submitting graciously...i've got seen my mom do it for my dad for the previous 50 years...and on the same time, i've got seen my father love my mom so unconditionally (by using fact the Bible aslo instructs) that he by no ability has ever asked her to undergo some thing she would not already conform to. Love and submissiveness is a 2 way street and the two are required for a marriage to artwork, in accordance to the Bible. it somewhat is worked for them, and that they do no longer seem to be even Southern Baptists.

I think you are confused about this. A little study and you would realize that you are taking a quote directly from the Bible and not putting it in context ( like the Emams do with the Quran to get people to go blow other people up) and then saying that Huckabee said it. Merry Christmas.

The instruction to women to submit to their husbands comes from a time in society when women were bought and sold as furniture. Women are not furniture or cheap belongings to be traded for a dowry, who are then expected to submit to their new master's instruction.
This antiquated concept of marriage does not foster healthy relationships between either party in the coupling. A relationship has to be reciprocal. If one party is dominated by another, then it is not a marriage.

Not in a million years. His ideas are just about as screwed up as the rest of his GOP ilk: Each one of them wanting to turn this country back 231 years before rights and freedoms were ever conceived.

Better "graciously" than "kicking and screaming."
Just kidding! I treat my wife like the queen she is (figuratively).

My husband is a registered Republican and thinks Huckabee is great. I'm registered as a Democrat, and when I go into the voting booth to vote, the curtain closes, and my husband has no right to tell me who to vote for, even if Mr. Huckabee thinks he should.
Obama for America.
