What are the effects and benefits of having my truck buffed?

I've been considering having my truck buffed. What's the cost? What's the benefits? I have a lot of swirly scratches and a few more noticeable scratches. Will a buff job help them? Do you know where I can find some before and after example pictures?

Having the truck buffed will get the dirt out of the paint and make the finish shine. It should get rid of the swirl marks, as long as they haven't cut into the paint too deep. Then a good coat of wax should help preserve the finish and improve the resale value of the truck.

As for the cost, check with local detail shops and see what they charge. You will see a difference in the finish.
