Look up Euclid's theorem about prime numbers, the Sieve of Erastothenes, and Diophantine Equations. Between all that and the Pythagorean Theorem, they weren't slouches in number theory either.

They invented the idea of mathematical proofs and mathematical reasoning, for the large part.

They were not good on experimental science, in which experiments are supposed to have repeatable results and so on. That's more a 17th Century thing -- Galileo et al. But observing the world and reasoning about it -- sure. For example, Eratosthenes did a pretty good job of calculating the circumference of the Earth. (Not surprisingly, he used geometry.)
