Years ago when I was a waitress a German couple came in for breakfast. When they left I found a $50 on the floor. I kept it for about 2 weeks. When they came in next I gave it to them and told them they had dropped it. It I had given it to the boss he would have stuck it in his pocket and kept it. The wife in particular was happy about me returning it to them. Her husband had accused her of taking money from his wallet.

Depends on where I was at and whether there was people around. Most likely I would just keep it. If I saw it fall out I would give it back to the person that lost it.
