The best driving gloves you can get are actually golf gloves. Don't let anyone fool you into buying expensive driving gloves. Golf gloves (you can get left and right handed) fit snugly, prevent slipping, and allow for fingertip gearchanges (either stick or paddle) under 'stressful' conditions. You may want to cut the fingers off, but I wouldn't. Also, you could use gym gloves, they have padded palms which may add comfort.

I have worn Isotoner gloves for 20 years. They are about fifty bucks now I think, and as long as you don't lose them, they will last forever. I know JCPenney carries them, and Macy's probably does too. I've had my current pair for over 10 years.
