I want to grow up and play QB for a d-1a college, any D-1a college football program on the west coast. Is there any hope or should I just give up?
I can throw far and I can throw some good spirals. I go to a high school that does not have football. My parents want me to go to that school because it is a magnet school and the regular schools in the place I live in are extremely dangerous and have alot of crime. I want to badly play football for a d-1a college. I can catch too, I do not know how fast I can run. If I try out for a d-1a college will I EVEN GET A SHOT to play QB?
Like a fair shot or something or no.
I want to know, is there anything I can do to increase my chances, there are no local football programs and my parents are forcing me to go to a high school which does not have football.
Is it possible for me to play for a d-1a college?
Are there any D-1a colleges that are "walk-on friendly", if so I want some names.
I threw a football 64 yds when I was in the 9th grade

I want to play for a pac 10 d-1a program basically,
is it possible or not. I have good grades, I have a 3.6 gpa so far. I want to play football BADLY for a d-1a college, is there any college that will give me a shot, and a fair shot and put me in a game simulation to see how good I can lead a team down the field?

I was pretty good in middle school. I play football with my friends, I cannot convince my parents into letting me go to a regular school. Shows people how much sense that "there is a god" makes. If wisconsin is walk on friendly I am willing to try for them. All I need is a shot to prove myself, is there any d-1a college in the big 10 or pac 10 (that is the only 2 conferences I wanna play in) that will give a shot.
I know Colt Brennan was a walk-on, and he has got far.

If you do not play football in high school you have no chance of playing college football period. You also have to have an intense workout and speed training regimen. Here is another thing... can you throw a 20-yard out while scrambling? and the average height of a college QB is 6'-3" not 5'-9" you would also have to gain at least 40lbs to even have a shot... GOOD LUCK!

18 years? What were you doing in math class? Try more like 31 years! You might pull that crap on somebody else but not me! Anyway, I'm only speculating here but I would imagine that given the type of guy that might ask you out, he's probably in prison right now or at the very least under house arrest and burried under so many restraining orders that he can't leave the sidewalk around his yard without violating his parole or something. Sure, give him a call, good luck with that!

5'9 is a litle short but you can still grow.. guys grow until they are 25.. so I think you have time.. Brett Farve walked on to Southern Miss.. he was the 7th string qb.. look where he is now.. Dont give up on your dreams and if football is really what you want to play.. there are always other positions.. I wouldn't reccommend going to USC or a big divison 1 school because you will sit on the bench even if you are 10 times better than the 1st string guy.. Good Luck..

a lot of big-ten schools are very walk-on friendly namely Wisconsin But you Will have a hard time making any team as a quarterback most quarterbacks at D1 schools are around 6'3 But if you did throw a ball 64 yards you will turn a few heads. If i were you though I would not get your hopes to high.Good Luck Though

You want to be a walk on QB at a division 1a school without ever having played high school football?
Dreams are good but I think that is all you'll have is dreams. It won't happen.

You can walk on but if you never played in High school it will be hard. Maybe you can talk them into letting you play out of state if you have family around. It is hard to walk on because schools are full who was here first its not all about who is better.
