I doubt i am but i just dont know. I'm never happy anymore and tend to stay away from my friends. I sometimes just snap at my friends. I've never wanted to commit suicide. I dont believe thats an answer. Sometimes I'll just start crying. I'm tired alot but sometimes cant sleep. I dont know if I'm depressed or if its just stress, but either way how can i feel happy again? I've been this way for about 3-4 weeks

you've got all the symptomes of a depression. a lot of people are depressed and don't know it. but those are the typical symptoms of a depression: always tired, lack of courage, lack of joy/happiness, being isolated from everyone else, crying randomly without think why you're crying.....look into you situation a little deeper..think about you why you are crying, what are the reasons to it, what is making you feel stressed...what takes the joy out of you living "normally" and not seeing you friends... what makes you snap at them?? think about their actions and your reactions...maybe you are a sensible person a this time but you need to think about you have bottled up and can't let out....talk to someone about everything on your mind or keep a journal or both..it'll help at least a little..if you think you really need a visit to the psychologist or psychotherapist then call one up...if u can't seem to get out of your depression all alone just by talking aout ur problems, like in psychoanalysis, and analysing youself, and by trying to think about positive things and maybe practice a sport or something like tennis or dancing something that can make you feel like u'r decompressed and have a feeling of accomplishment with a touch of relief.

Ok, i've just been told that I suffer from depression, here are the symptoms that I had:

Weird sleeping (I can't sleep until like 3:00 am)
I just experienced a great amount of loss
I cry a lot even out of no where
No appetite, I only eat when I remember that I should
thinking about suicide
Cutting
There's more but I forgot...

if you checked everything down the list, then I suggest a doctors appointment, and attending any counseling groups they mention.

You could be both; the answer is never suicide. Every tomorrow is a chance to turn your life around. Google a test to see if you're depressed.

have feelings of hopeless, sucide, sad, no friends, and just feel shitty all of the time!! what to do about it! go see a doctor and he will give U some prozac.

Maybe it's not happiness you're missing but joy. Joy is everlasting happiness. It never leaves. The only place it comes from is God.

I think it's both. Your both depressed and stressed.

I think you should go see a physician.
