what team would you send to vancouver 2010?

what team would you send "NOT" named Crosby, Spezza, THornton heatley or lecavalier, how about try to assemble centres like savard, briere, getzlaf, or cammaleri. langkow, tanguay, or maybe up and coming talent like toews, tavares, doughty,. You know what i mean, like players who are not as talented as the obvious guys like crosby , heatley, lecavalier, but guys who go under the radar like horcoff, pominville etc

it just seems like the those guys have more drive to win. eg 2007 iihf championship (mike cammadore, jamal mayers? and they still win? thats just determination and heart if team canada can win with guys like that or a player like toews, who never played a single nhl game and still won)

A Team B is of lesser knowns and young guys is basically what you are asking for I guess. It is too early to speculate I think but

In three years time Bernier, Tavares and Stamkos may be the go-to guys. I guess in 2014 we may not have to worry about NHL stars being in the Olympics. I definitely agree with you that the teams sent to the IIHF worlds in recent years have been real credit to Canada even without a lot of big stars.

I'll play devil's advocate here-let's say a certain has-been former Senator gets his act together while playing for HC Davos. The folks back home see him play well in the Spengler Cup and figure he can thrive in international hockey. He then comes back to fufill at least some of his potential at Vancouver 2010.

Gold and silver, I like it. Just sign up Canada's junior team and blend in a few late cuts from the A team. Probably Carey Price in goal since the A team will have Luongo. Martin St Louis, Kyle Turris probably get on my team too.
