Why do some people physically and/or emotionally hurt the people they love?

They do things to people that they love because they believe you cannot be without them. That have conditioned you beyond the pain to believe that you love them so much no matter what they do physically or emotionaly to you. This is why woman are battered numerous times and NEVER press charges. He knows what your emotional buttons are and uses them against you for his own pleasure. The hurt only gets worse until someone is killed or one of the parties gets away .

Penny dear my dad beat mom almost daily. Some times she left but allways came back. It's VERY bad for a woman regardless of who she is to live with physical or even verbal abuse. Far as why men do it an claim they love a woman I don't know. For sure the guys got some type mental trouble in my opinion. It would worry me to know some one I knew an respected was liveing with this problem.
Ther's support groups in most towns for abused women, there might be groups on Yahoo, I help lots folks on aaol find groups on Yahoo an offer my help to any one. If I knew some one going thru this I would give them all the emotional support I could. BUT those women need to realise that a man like that is VERY hard to change, he would need therapy or counseling.
The women also need theropy an counseling an a support system they can trust.

Some people love the Drama of the arguments, the sadness, the separations and the make up sex that follows. They cannot be happy, unless their lives are lived on the edge. Not for them, the calmness of ordinary days, loving their wives/husbands, they must be forever in turmoil, to feel that they are living, their lives to the fullest.
This kind of person can be exhausting, and draining, and eventually the love will wear out. No one can live this way for long, and so they divorce and move on to another person and the cycle will began again.
If you are caught up in this kind of relationship, it is time to move on. Especially if you want children in your marriage, this kind of instability does not bode well for raising children. Try to find a husband/wife, that you can be comfortable with, just watching TV or reading a book. This type of person has to be continually on the go, or they become bored.
