this worked needs individualists. if we didn't have any, think of all the medicines, arts, technology, etc. that would not have been invented. individualists are thinkers outside of the box.

Your life is yours and yours alone to live. To be an individualist is to live in the manner most suited to yourself. The other alternative is to give control of some or all of your life over to others, to live as they would have you live. In the end, it boils down to a question of who controls your life and what kind of person you are: yourself, or others.

William James (American psychologist and philosopher) may have said it best when he said:
"There is but one cause of human failure and that is man's lack of faith in his true self."
Everyone IS an individual. Everyone has special qualities and characteristics that coincide with their purpose in life. The 'true self' embraces our individual uniqueness and enables us to effectively pursue our passion(s). Pursuit of passion is the key to success.
So, yes, it is good to follow your unique individuality - your true self. It is the key to success in life.
Best wishes.
