First of all it all happened long before any of these guys were Yanks. That being said, if they broke the law they should be punished the same as you or I. If they set records those records should be erased. Fair is fair. What about all the athletes who don't take drugs that compete against these people? That's not fair at all.

Not shocked in the least... don't care in the least. Knowing that he was put on the list explains why he's such a jerk sometimes... roid rage?
I think what's so disappointing here is this... you have some athletes that truly are amazing. They do well in their respective sport because they are truly good players. They don't take any enhancement drugs or do anything to otherwise compromise their performance. Then, you have the ones that wuss out and do the drugs and have a phenomenal season. This causes everyone to question any athlete that does well now. It has cast a shadow of doubt and suspicion. There were some Bonds' fans cheering him on to break the record. Then, there were those of us that were remembering that the record was owned by a man that didn't touch drugs to improve his game. He was merely a good athlete and he earned his title the honest way. I think people like Barry Bonds and Marion Jones shouldn't just have an asterisk placed next to their names or medals stripped... I think they should be banned from any and all athletic competition in the future.. not even allowed anywhere near it! Kinda like a restraining order.
Note to TheMick: The game of baseball has not been "violated". There have been cases of steroid use that have been confirmed by the players themselves! So don't sit there and think that the Mitchell Report was some scheme or witch hunt. A witch hunt is something that happens when someone is going after a certain person or group just to try to find something to hurt them (no real facts) - the use of steroids IS happening. It's out there...it was just a matter of uncovering the truth.

I do care, but I'm not shocked. Many people (including myself) have questioned whether Clemens took steroids, but for some reason, he remained above general suspicion. He somehow maintained the reputation of having the hardest work ethic in the game, and that he busted his butt to stay in great shape into his mid 40's.
But look at the guy. He only got bigger and stronger as he progressed from 35 to 38 to 41. It just didn't make sense. People don't physically progress like that. It's backwards. It's very Bonds-like is what it is.

Not shocked at all.The man was 42 and still hitting 97-98 mph with his fastball.Even the great Nolan Ryan was not hitting over 94 when he was 40 and Ryan had better conditioning then Clemens did

I'm not surprised at all. He looks pretty bulked up for a 45 year old guy; especially for a pitcher. He doesn't have to do all of the lifting and running, etc. to stay in the shape that everyday players have to, yet he's in pretty good shape. He looks a bit heavy, but not sure if it's fat or muscle. But for him to even be performing as well as he did the last few seasons, sure raises some eyebrows. It's interesting to think about whether A-Rod would ever have gotten his 10 year contract, had he waited until this report came out. I'm pretty doubtful about him performing at such a high level 10 years from now not being on 'roids or HGH. I'm glad it's the Yankees that may be wasting all of that money instead of the 'Sox.

Come on!! How can i face as much as the possibility to disclose Clemens for what he's!! A self-based guy or woman who cares in basic terms for Roger. He exudes love for himself, no longer for baseball, no longer for the Yankees, no longer for all people on the earth yet himself. extra, he would desire to grant all baseball followers a injury if he retired and spared us his infinite information conferences the place he babbles alongside and contradicts him self repeatedly returned. while you're quite a Yankee fan, and that i believe you're, withdraw your petition because of the fact he's all washed up and could be of no help this 365 days to the Yankees or to all people else.. the sole greater albatross in all of baseball is Barry Bonds. Chow!!

After downloading the Mitchell Report yesterday and reading portions of it, it was clear that the report was nothing more than an endless display of innuendos. If after 20 months and approximately 50 million dollars being spent of the "witch hunt" and this is all that George Mitchell could come up with, he should be a shamed of himself. The report is not worth the paper it's written on. There is no hard evidence anywhere in the report, just hearsay!
I'm not sure that Mitchell understands that just by naming names, whether these players are guilty or not, they will forever be linked to the steroid controversy. If anyone should be held accountable for this fiasco, it's Bud Selig. Of all the people who could have controlled this, he chose to turn his back on the issue time and time again.
Am I shocked? Yes! I'm shocked that this politician was allowed to violate the game of baseball with absolutely nothing to offer.

No surprises....there has been whispers on this for several years, especially in the period of retiring/unretiring as a means to control dosages/cycles without a threat of being tested. That he received a McGwire-ish free pass for so long is the disturbing part. His body caved in during a season that paralleled the investigation.

Well I woulden't say shock! or that I don't really care. But it is a bit surprising, but then again there are a lot of players and I didn't really know what too expect of the "Mitchell Report"
