The real reason for Iraq and Afghanistan is because Islamic extremists do not like the Western (and European) way of life. If you see any videos of the extremists, they all say that they will stop when the entire world is united under Islam.
That's not to say that Israel is not A reason, but it's not a big one. That pisses off more Palestinians than Iraqis.

The real reason...NO. However, all of our problems in the mid east can in some way be traced back to our support of Israel.
I don't think moderate muslims concern themselves with the Pal/Israel issue, but the radicals use it as an excuse for all sorts of mayhem. In their minds it gives them a justification for their actions.
