Nope, sorry, no menopause here. Not yet anyway. And a healthy sex life, no lube needed. And no, not too old to have a baby. I know many who have babies even older then me. AND, this is a gift I can give my new husband that we both want.

My husband is 2 years younger and he is fine in the sperm department, but those who say slow down on the days are right. That is probably the problem. I used to get pregnant if just looked at funny! But of course I know age has a lot to do with it. No one believes I am the age I am but think I am 10 years younger.
Thanks everyone.

I wouldn't have sex every day. That's actually hurting your chances. Save it up more to the time around when you are ovulating. Chart when you will be ovulating (usually 14 days after the last day of your period). Try and relax about the whole thing too. The more stressed you are, the harder things are going to be. ALso, don't get fustrated if you don't get pregnant after only a month of trying. At your age it may take longer (no offense)

Sex every day is probably not the best way to do it, the sperm needs time to build up. Zinc is very good for building up the sperm count so maybe finding some food stuffs that have a naturally high Zinc content would help. As far as the sex goes work out the time you will be most fertile in your cycle and abstain from sex for a few days or even a week before this date and then go for it. Good luck

Egg quality greatly decreases after age 40. I'm guessing that the majority of the women you know who are older than you who have conceived used some sort of fertility treatments and just aren't 'fessing up about them.
If you are really serious about getting pregnany and using your own eggs, you need to see a reproductive endocrinologist immediately. Here is a link that can help you find one in your area:
http://www.sart.org/find_frm.html#
Click on your state and then click on a clinic to see their success rates for women in your age group.
The best thing an RE can do for you is a cheap and easy FSH test (a blood draw). This number will give you some idea of your egg quality and let you know if it is worth it to keep trying naturally, or if you need to move on to fertility treatments to maximize your chances.
Please do not wait. It is wonderful that you were fertile in the past, and that bodes well for you now, but time can change our bodies very quickly, and at 45, it is vital that you take aggressive action now.
Good luck to you!

You are possibly too old to have another baby. And even if you manage to get pregnant, there is a great possibility that your child could have birth defects. It is sad, but as women pass 40 the chance for birth defects increases dramatically.
And if you really want to get pregnant, sex every day is not the answer. The first step would be to go to a pharmacy and get a test that will tell you when are are most fertile, and then try on those days. If you still can't get pregnant, then perhaps you should go to a doctor to see if it is possible (and safe) for you to have a baby.

I'm not a doctor or anything but i grow up in a family of 11 kids so i have a Little experience but at the age of 45 your hormones get weaker which makes it harder to get pregnant i would just go to a doctor and see if you can do sperm injections or fertilisation.I mean if you want a baby that bad .That probably would help.

First of all having a baby at 45 puts you in a higher risk for unhealthy pregnancies or babies with health problems. I have also heard that having sex that often lowers the sperm count of your husband. Talk to your Dr first about what risks you would face at your age as many womaen now adays start menopause in their mid to late 40's. Also your husband's sperm count may be low normally anyway regardless of how often you have sex. He could also go to the Dr. to have that checked.

I know for older women wanting to conceive might be a little harder for some. My mother, however, conceived my brother at 41, so It just depends on the woman. Women don't ovulate every month too. I think maybe see a fertility doctor after trying for 6 months. Try changing your diet, weight, stress level. Take prenatal VIT. Good luck to you guys.

Check with your doctor, who will probably tell you how long you should keep trying without assistance. I had to have fertility help at 37, and never did, even with help, have a second child. We began trying at 39. Thought it would be simple, now that we had figured it out... Ha. We have one beautiful child. After 40, you may need help. Fertility drops off pretty dramatically for most of us, and all those celebrities who have kids after 50...they aren't doing it naturally, I can guarantee that.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/51901

Even with young and fertile couples, it can sometimes take up to a year to get pregnant, even with very frequent sex. The best thing you can do is both of you should consult with your doctor to make sure that you are in good health. Then get one of those kits that help you figure out your most fertile days of the month. Also you need to relax and have fun with it! Being stressed or feeling pressure can make it more difficult to conceive.
