I think both are very important to our society. There are good and bad in any occupation. As an ex-law enforcement officer (28 years worth), I will admit that I think firefighters are the bravest and most versatile of the two. I wouldn't want their job.

Firefighters, my grown Daughter and I recently passed up our exit on the highway because we were to busy waving to firefighters. My Grandfather and Uncle were firefighters.
