well they are both good Lol (know you said dont say it =s) but being smart is much better as it will help you more in later life. you maybe popular in school years but when you leave and go out into the real world that means nothing, and you will make new friends but its not as easy trying to learn years worth of stuff =)

Smart. Where is popularity going to get you after high school? Besides I dont believe in being popular. People make the "popular" people popular. Treat them like you would your friends they are not different.

smart. god. i hate it when people put popularity over everything. if people dont like the way you look, say "screw you." they have no idea wat is on the inside and they are only afraid because you are not "normal." But u know what? the person that comes to you because of what is on the inside is truly smart and i would much rather be smart than popular. Being popular is MY worst nightmare.

Popular will get you through High School easily, smart will get you through life easier and probably make you more $$$$. Unless you're so popular and hot you just marry a rich guy.

Smart. All the popular girls from my school still work in the supermarket stacking shelves and have never left their small town. Not saying that they're not happy but...I have a dental degree and have seen the world! And I'm happy!

smart...being popular is ephmeral (temporary) while you can be smart forever. and besides, the popular people will make huge mistakes in highschool that will lead them to work at fast food places. plus smart people are usually nicer :)
