What is sentimental philosophy?

I'm supposed to discuss the effect that it had on playwriting and I have no idea what it even is. I've checked wikipedia and all that stuff and have come out empty handed. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Something that leaves an impression on others that can't be spoken of. Something like inner feeling sort thing.
