Fine the guy takes sterioids. Who cares?

It improves ratings and quite frankly makes the game more exciting!

Im not saying it should players should be allowed to take it, but why make a whole 309 report about it?

Sterioids is sticking a heart through baseball and baseballs reputation! This whole sterioid thing is getting out of hand. Test the whole MLB and name the players who are using or have used sterioids now or in the past.

Its that simple!

Paula A - I half expected to see Clemens on that list.

I could care less if he was on that list - because he doesnt play for my team anymore!

Entire team? You mean like 4 people out of a 40 man roster?

Make that 3 condsidering Andy Pettite was convicted. He is innocent until proven guilty.

Make that 2 since Giambi is a FORMER steriod user....

As Mitchell said, players cannot be faced with the choice of taking a harmful performance enhancing drug or losing ground to someone who is. Gagne's saves in 2003 and 2004*. Clemens record since Dan Duquette determined he was done*. Barry Bonds records*. McGwire's records*.
Was I relieved to see only 2 recent Red Sox on the list? Absolutely. Should Theo be embarrassed for acquiring Donnelly and Gagne after his scouts told him they were on steroids. Yes.
Would I differentiate someone who had a continuing pattern or practice of taking steroids with someone who took steroids or HGH on an isolated basis and quit? Yes.
Is this a witch hunt? No, there are lots of witches listed in the Mitchell report. Some may deserve burning.

It's not a witch hunt, & it seems to me that the biggest whiners on this whole thing are Yankee fans complaining conspiracy.

Cheating is cheating! The only thing the dirty players of the "steroid era" achieved is to bring down the entire reputation of baseball and demean the achievements of the old timers, like Hank Aaron, who worked hard for what they did throughout their careers.

Baseball over the years, and I really like baseball, has had an off & on love affair with the fans. It's on a downslide again, I'm afraid to say.

It changes the game, and stats become meaningless. Plus, what will the steroids, HGH, etc do to the athletes and the kids that want to be like them? The baseball part of the equation is the less important side of the situation. What it does to the kids that take the steroids if the more important factor.

The witch hunt question should have been brought up a long time ago. Just about everybody on that list was on it due to the accusations of someone else trying to save his own skin. If this sounds vaguely familiar to you, look up the McCarthy hearings.

Because the guys are making millons of dollars cheating. Actually the baseball market has lost many viewers because of the steriods. Most people fell cheated and realizing that baseball is becoming fake.

Simple: a level playing field is necessary in sports. If players are allowed to take steroids, then it basically forces the non-enhanced players to start using because everyone has to compete with the enhanced players. Players would then escalate the use to unsafe levels in order to compete.

Because cheating is cheating. If Pete Rose can't be inducted into hall of fame because he bet on baseball, players who used sterioids should be strripped of their records and banned from the hall of fame. At least Rose was no longer playing when he made his bets and his record number of hits is legit.

1) It's not an even playing field. Why should one guy who decides to cheat be compared to those who worked hard? Would you be okay if you were in school with a 4.0 and the guy beside you cheated through it all and ALSO had a 4.0?

2) Think about the kids--they look up the stars. Do you REALLY want to tell your kid that they need to take a drug to make them happy?

YAY! It makes the game more exciting! YAY!

How about doing a couple of lines of coke before the game too, just like the 80's? It's makes things more wild and unpredictable too! YAY! The rating are going up and the game is more exciting too! YAY!

How about a player who strikes out gets shot in the head? YAY! The ratings would go up even more, and think of the drama! YAY!

Oh.....that's right. EVERYTHING MENTIONED, INCLUDING STERIOD USE IS ILLEGAL.
