Suppose major officeholders from one particular party are not performing well, and the party is not monitoring these officeholders. In what ways could this situation affect the party as a whole?

Party members not doing well in government must be purged because they will blemish the image of the party which might suffer to lose in the next election.

It would cause a low vote outcome...
But then i would imagine that most parties now a days have learned this important lesson through years before and would ensure that party members would have total faith in the goals set by that party to achieve and make a better way off life for all.. faith devotion and desire to achive would be the main vertues which will bring results and am sure many party leaders know this.. a bit like a religion in ways and so i would imagine they would look for certain key elements within each proposed member who would help them achive the goal..
to ensure as much as possible they dont fail.
