Learn more about herbal remedies and quit trying to push drugs just because you get kickbacks from the drug companies. but that is just my opinion.

I would say; " keep doing what you're doing as you are the best doctor that I've ever had." She makes sure she is not overbooked, I've never had to wait more than 10 min's, she sits quietly and listens and never makes you feel like you have to hurry....ever. Maybe it's because I have medical training but she listens when I have suggestions. Also the doctor that performed my knee surgery is great. He really cares but will tell you the truth, not what you want to hear always. " He told me; " don't be afraid of the pain, get busy and do you're
exercises or you'll have to go back to the hospital and go through another painful surgery, or limp forever. I appreciated that as the pain/exercises was awful and I initially was slacking a bit.

Just to look at your patients once in a while instead of just writng notes, well I know they have to do the notes but it would be nice if they would at least lift their head when you leave their office to say Bye....not all of them do this of course, just a few that I have noticed over the years

Edit: I have just read your response wally y, we do have a Doctor that purely works with Holistic medicines and I am so grateful she is there as I too try and find as much natural meds as possible

Funny you should ask this question Wicks. I would tell the doctor to first, give us your time and attention, don't overbook so you have to rush. Secondly, I would tell him/her to explain in layman's terms what the diagnosis/prognosis is. And lastly, I would tell him to act like he cares. Sorry had a bad experience with a doctor this week. I felt he was rushing (very abrupt) and brushing us off (suggesting another doctor or facility).

Laura looks like a smart determination for a significant character, in that she would not seem to blindly settle for what's happening like the different characters are. a minimum of, that's what i think of she's doing. -.-; an excellent novel to study touching directly to this manner of tale is "Spare areas" via Sally Rogers-Davidson. in this novel, that is extra to do with the alterations between the tiers of society, besides as how good having a cybernetic physique is. besides the undeniable fact that it fairly is sensible, if basically for an excellent reference on the fairly some technical words used. desire this helps!

After just losing my long-time (and loved!) doctor because of an insurance change, I'm in a real panic. Have an appt. with a new one on Dec. 27th, and the first thing I would love to say to him is "please put yourself in my place". And if he's young, the next thing would be "please treat me the same way you'd treat your own mother if she were your patient". Basically, I want a doctor who will listen, and actually HEAR, what I'm saying. It's that simple!

I am part of this team and you are the coach. Remember to listen and hear my concerns and questions. Don't rush me or discount my ideas because I know my body. Treat me as if I were the doctor and you were the patient, not a money cow.

I guess I don't feel alone now, after reading some of the answers, I thought maybe it was just my Dr's ----OBgyn and my regular doctor, you know you have to have two these days, one just doesn't do the other's job! yes, they need to listen, we do know our bodies and what is happening-- I have not found a good Dr for a long, long time!

I would tell HER that she should stop correcting MY ENGLISH because after all I am from London, England, and have a M.A. in English Lit. and Language! (But she does it every time I go to see her)! Can't change a tiger's stripes!

If I were seeing a dr now, I would tell him/her to 'treat me like an individual'. I have thyroid disease and do not function well at the 'normal levels'. I only had one dr who would treat me and not the numbers and I did really well then. Unfortunately he moved.--Luvs
