What makes up atmosphere on the molecular level? What it its energy source?

It contains roughly (by molar content/volume) 78% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, trace amounts of other gases, and a variable amount (average around 1%) of water vapor. As for its energy source, I'm not sure what you mean...

i don't get that but the atmosphere is made mostly of nitrogen,then oxygen,and lastly carbon dioxide.gravity keeps the atmosphrere in place.
