I watch As the World Turns and All My Children every day, so that's 2 hours a day and 10 hours a week.
Have a great day and consider yourself starred! Hopefully that will help you get more answers. Good luck with your survey and happy holidays!

I would say about 3.5 hours a week. My son is 34 months and wasn't interested in the TV at all until about a year ago, and in the last couple of months he seems to have got addicted to it and as soon as he gets up and various points through the day wants to watch TV (normally Bob the Builder, sometimes Thomas the Tank Engine or ocasionally In the Night Garden). So we have figured out a compromise. On days when he's not at nursery, so 3 days a week, he gets to watch 2 10 minute episodes at breakfast time (on nursery days there isn't time) and each day at bed time (unless we have just got in, or have someone round) he gets to watch another 2 10 minute episodes (so total of either 20mins or 40mins) which I don't think is too bad, and it has the advantage that whenever he starts whining during the day "I wanna watch Bob" I can tell him that he doesn't get to watch Bob until bedtime, so he can watch Bob but only if he then goes to bed. Its amazing how quickly he changes his mind! I expect you will get some negative comments about letting him watch any telly but I don't think a limited amount hurts, and it gets my little boy to sit still and calm down at bedtime which is handy. I might phase out the morning viewing too, but right now it works for us.

I used to watch One Life, All My Children and General Hospital but over the past decade, I feel the show's are lacking in creativity, can't get into the characters, veteran characters are killed off or have changed their demeanor, etc. I can remember when AMC, GH and OLTL were in the top five in the Nielsen ratings. I wish I could turn back the clock and watch the shows when they were in their prime!

I watch three soaps per day, every day. So 15 hours of my life a week is in a chair watching other people mess up their lives. I watch General Hospital, Bold and the Beautiful and Young and the Restless.
