There is no faith-based government, not in the U.S.A.

The Constitution does not mention "separation of church and state." You can separate the organized religions from the government, but you can not separate people from their religious beliefs. And as long as the government is not comprised entirely of atheists, religion will always have an influence.

However, that does not mean that we are moving towards a religious government; only that religious people are involved in the government. They always have been, and I expect they always will be.
