Since March 2007 i have stopped using contraception, myself and my husband have a regular sex life, and it is edging towards 2008 and i fear that we could be infertile.

Is there anything we could do to check ourselves out? or to increase changes of getting pregnant?

Have you been taking your temp every morning when you wake up? If you keep track of your Basal Body Temperature every cycle, you can see if you are ovulating regularly. The ovulation prediction kits also help with that too. As far as your husband checking himself out, maybe he could go to the doctor and get a sperm count.
I wouldn't automatically think that you have an infertility problem. It's hard to get pregnant, even for people who know exactly when they ovulate. Don't stress, and if you still aren't pregnant after a year of trying, talk to you doctor about further options.

Sperm reserves can take 2 days to recuperate to an entire point, so attempt and lay off for a pair days at a time. Masturbation will fantastically much fairly not make you infertile, in simple terms drain your sperm/semen reserves. remember, your testes can basically produce sperm so speedy, and an identical is going for the semen production. the only thank you to correctly say in case you have long previous infertile is to crack out a microscope and initiate counting sperm.

Why not go to the doctor and get checked out? Then you will know for sure if there is an issue, or if it's just a matter of patience.

Your situation is not that uncommon. You have to do more than just have a regular sex life. You have to chart your periods and estimate your ovulation date and have sex on the days that you know you are most likely to be fertile. Can't leave it to chance, you got to plan.

im having the same problem,me and my partner have been trying for for years and nothing, but we went to the doctors and they are doing diff tests.
go to your gp together and explain the situation, you can get blood tests done every week from the day after your period up to the day of your next period to make sure you are ovulating and your partner can have a sperm test done to determine if they are ok,like if they are strong enough to swim and to make sure he has enough, this is an easy proceedure he will just have to get sent to a hostpital and take a sample of sperm with him.
you gp will decide wat to do after the results from both of you
