I currently have an anonymous blog troll on my LiveJournal account who keeps leaving anonymous comments. Thankfully, the filter catches/automatically screens these comments first and LJ's IP logger is on.

I just noticed that all these comments are from the same IP address.

I tried using IP Geolocation tools that are available on the internet, trying my own IP address first to gauge its accuracy, but everything seems to be completely off.

Does anyone know of anything more accurate? And what do you think I can or should do with the annoying anonymous troll?

Don't feed him or pour water on an Internet troll and he won't grow into a big furry monster!

If the guy is smart he'll be hiding behind a proxy so as to avoid you discovering his location.

I agree with the guy above me. The more you care, the more he'll focus his time and effort on trolling. If you really wanna get rid of him, isn't there a comment approval system? I'd go that route if possible.

If you can find out who it is, and if he's harrassing you, then just expose him all over your blog. Sometimes high school tactics can work on high school minds.

Ignore him and he'll go away. And if he doesn't so what? You're ignoring him. Personally, I open my blogs to any and all comments. Sure, there are plenty of trolls on there but that's the nature of the beast.
