An abomination. And I can't stand the panty-waists in this country saying we're better than that. Their making excuses for the terrorists. Their afraid of them. This kind of stupid thinking will get us all killed. (must be from a fatherless home.)

Water boarding is illegal, just like illegal immigration is still illegal.

I'm with Edge, they're both animalistic acts of terrorism. And one doesn't justify the other. We're the United States of America and we are BETTER than that, even if YOU and BUSH aren't!

If I'm understanding the gist of your question, you're asking about our torture methods versus theirs. They do horrible things, which makes it OK for us?

We are better than that; or at least, I hope so.

Oky. so the way water boarding was explained to me, is they put a balloon or cellophane like wrap over your mouth letting it hang in, and then drip water into it. This doesnt sound all that heinous. Its better than cutting off fingers, or ears, or nailing their feet to the chair. They dont die, they dont even get hurt. Not that i condone torture by any means, but this sounds like something high schoolers do to try to get a buzz, like choking themselves out. Am i mistaken on how it works?

Eidt: SO . . . if im not mistaken on how it works, my boyfriend and i just tried what i described out of curiosity, and it feels like when your lymph nodes swell up when you have bronchitis. So, out of all the inhumane ways we could be torturing people, i would definately choose bronchitis. Again, i dont agree w/ torture, but if they have to do it to get information to save lives, at least we arent slaughtering people like they are. But neither side should do it. Beats bamboo chutes under the nails, though. Ever done that by accident w/ tree bark? OUCH.
