I've recently starting dating my first real boyfriend and since the last time we had sex my vagina has become sore, swollen and pretty sensitive. I'm wondering if this is just something that happens because of my lack of experience and will go away after a while, or if I should consult a doctor?

Please and Thanks for any and all answers.

Depends on how long it's been. If it is more than 48hrs, I'd say something may be going on..was he too rough? Did you use a condom (you may be allergic to latex or something else in condoms)? If no condom, very rarely women are allergic to semen. If it's been a few weeks...STDs? I'd say if it's been more than 2-3days, see a doctor for your safety.

If the condition has been going on for some time it calls for medical attention; if you are old enough to be sexually active you can go and seek medical intervention---try planned parenthood if you are unable to pay your own way.
Try to think what was different from the last time to the first time you had sex and try to remember what happened.

Use a cooling vinegar douche, that will help a lot.

Of course he could have given you some sort of an STD.
Might be smart to have it checked.

Never believe guys are not or have not had sex with someone else. So you could have someone Else's STD.

Yikes. I remember when sex was not part of dating but part of marriage.

could easily be a yeast infection. DON"T DOUCHE!!!! totally unhealthy and if you do have any type of infection it will push it up further. Go to a GYN to be sure... also there are yeast infection tests at the pharmacy now

Best bet is to see an OB/GYN, especially if you're sexually active.
