Q: how do you view time?

A: "everyone has a different capacity to handle information. ever wonder how some people get so much done in a day, while you get only 1/3 as much done in a day? they can handle more information and their sense of time is different. for them a day is longer, for you a day is shorter.
so you say theres not enough time in a day. but if you looked at the world differently then your sense on time will change also."

so would you agree that geniuses are persons that have more time in their day for example Leonardo da vinci who created MANY things, it may be asked how did he have so much time? how did he do all that in his ? do you think he just had more time as i believe time is relative.

To quote Einstein "Time is relative." Given a problem, some peoples brains work faster then others. Or at least in some areas. Now that being said, many smart people are idiots. They lack common sense. To quote myself, "A high IQ doth not an interesting person make." I think that since smarter people can finish a task quicker, it does free up extra time in the day.

You asked:
"Leonardo da Vinci who created MANY things, it may be asked how did he have so much time? how did he do all that in his ? do you think he just had more time as i believe time is relative."

Da Vinci had wealthy patrons, the Medici, that supported and encouraged him to produce and think.

Having time to explore and not worry about your next meal frees the mind but being a Genius is only facilitated by that convenience. Free Time and longevity of life are factors as far as output or productivity by anyone.
But,
You can't become a genius no matter how much you want to or try to! You either are or you aren't a genius --no inbetweens! You can still be very smart and become smarter by effort and persistence, but geniuses do that too! So you can stay even but not get ahead!

I know because I went to MIT and I competed w/alot of them and many of my teachers were geniuses! Alot of geniuses like Norbert Weiner or Van Gogh flip out. S o being a genius is not all that it is cracked up to be. I think alot of geniuses suffer alot precisely bec they are so gifted. But that is another topic.

There is also the home environment that you have been accustomed to. If you have been stimulated intellectually, be it reading, having clever parents, fixing cars etc., you will naturally have a better understanding of it as you have done that thing since you were very young.
I have heard that Margaret Thatcher only used to sleep 5 hours a night, so she would have had a lot more hours in the day. You can really tell she missed out on the old beauty sleep though...

Time isn't really the factor affecting achievment, if geniuses were geniuses because they had more time i think u will find too many people who can finish alot in very short time but r dumb, they could be said as efficient .
i am a person who considers the time to be little but, this is because of the amount i am supposed to achieve according to my college, mean while i consider my self genius and so told me nearly half the people i knew in my life.

Well technically time and space are relative.

In another capacity, somewhat more related to what I perceive your question is intended, people can experience time subjectively.

I agree with that to a degree. But is it that people experience time subjectively or is it more so that some people are just innately capable of processing certain information faster and make it appear that they use less time in relation to another person who cannot process as much information as quickly.

This was an insightful question. I hope the thread gets really long.

Look how easily distracted these days. There's just so much to do. Leonardo for instance could devote hours on days on years to his "trade". Einstein even said that he didn't consider himself exceptionally intelligent, it's just that he put in so much time devoted to his studies. I would think with so much avaliable to us now-a-days it'd be foolish to so devote ourselves to only certain things and shun others.

No. Everyone has the same time available, and although some may organize their time better than others, there are real differences in mental horsepower, some of which can be seen in tests such as are available from IQTest.com and Tickle.com (both are free).
