I read a lot of the Mitchell Report and am not surprised by its findings. It was obvious that there were a numerous amount of people on steriods in the MLB in the last decade. If you look back at their rookie cards, you can see a huge improvement in size (especially barry and sammy). Others such as Nixon and Gagne do surprise me, but I am not saddened. I probably would have been said if it was Big Papi or Rameriz, but its not. Also, the list involves people that may not have taken steroids but in contact with them (through dealing or other involvement. I just think as one of anynomous players said it is unfair for the players who werent juicing that had a juiced player take their spot. But it should be interesting to see what Bud Selig does

I'm only disappointed. With the astronomical salaries ballplayers make, it's not surprising some do whatever they can to stay in the big leagues.
The Soviets athletes were accused of juicing big time. I can't cite this, but I remember reading that ~20% of the their 1972 Olympic team had died by 1992. If steroids and HGH cause similar mortality rates, we won't know how widespread its use was for another decade or two.

I am not shocked, baseball is dead now. Even thought i think most of these people will be punished bad. I hate the people who say ROGER IS INNOCENT, he would not do that. Mitchell report is fake, blah blah .... come on people do you really think baseball would take such a risk if it's not true. what about BARRY BONDS
listen people, mitchell would not name these poeple witout knowing the risks he takes. If McNamee is wrong and Mitchell ran with it anyway, then Clemens or any other player can sue the former Congressional leader, Major League Baseball and his drug-dealing former trainer for about a billion dollars.
This report, painstakingly investigated and detailed, may be a witch hunt to cleanse Selig's soul, but it isn't operated by fools. It’s extremely unlikely Mitchell and MLB would set itself up for such risk.

Unfortunantly no, but I guess in the 60's and 70's it may have been amphetamines, oh and Babe used that performance enhancer (alcohol). How good would he have been without that.
I remember the players Like WIllie Mays, Ernie Banks, the Big Red Machine and the players that used to have to take jobs in the off season. Time marches on and things change ... not always for the better.

I am a little bit stunned, reason I did not see him doing it. Maybe any individual like Pedro Martinez or Manny Ramirez, I might see. But ARod turns out like a blank participant you could not ever feel of to take steroids. I wager we have got to anticipate that each participant has at one factor taken steroids.

I'm not at all surprised. Many players were doing steroids, and many more were at least aware of everything that was going on. But no one spoke up, there was a certain "code of silence" effect, I think.

Well they don`t mention Basketball yet have you seen some of those guys. Including the riots at games, it does not surprise me at all. These guys are making millions in sports and do not want to lose their jobs to anyone else. So any advantage they can get including cheating does not surprise me at all.

Nope. Jose Conseco even said that most of the league have used or are using HGH. And quite frankly, I believe it by the way these people become into such big people, thier stats going from Babe Ruth to Miguel Cairo....ETC...

The one name on the list that really surprised is Paul Lo Duca, I never would have thought he used steroids!
