Banks have 1-800 numbers and you can ALSO check your account on-line -- I do this ALL the time. That is the best way to see if anything strange is happening in your account. If you overdrew your account it would be more than $5.00 though. I've never heard of a fee that LOW before.

beginning of the week = 298.72
deposit = $425.69
balance then would be $298.72 + $425.69.
wrote a check - $29.72
wrote a check - $135.47
($298.72 + $425.69) - $29.72 - $135.47 = balance
Take that balance and subtract the $5 fee from the bank and you will know how much is in your account.
