He cuts me off in traffic seemingly deliberately and so I honk my horn furiously at him almost on his bumper. We get to the next intersection and he gets out of his car, some white guy who looked like a discount suit salesman and he starts taking pictures of my license plate, inspection and registration stickers, and me and this douchebag tells me "You have no idea who I am." I told him "I don't give a **** who you are, you can suck my **** though." He walked back to his car and we went our seperate ways. This idiot can't do anything with those pictures can he? I mean, he can't prove anything from it. What do you all think?

It's funny that you talked tough to him from inside your car, and now you're on YA asking this question. You sound like a teenage girl.

just ignore people like that. you got cut off . big deal , it was not your first time and won't be your last time. an accident could have happened. you have no idea who this psycho is / what he can do . it's just a lot of stress that you don't need. it would be better to ignore this and overcome the temptation to have a temper tantrum on the road start honking and getting on his bumper. what if he had stopped suddenly ? you'd have an accident and would probably get the ticket. try to stay calm and don't get annoyed with these situations in the future. it's just not worth the stress / potential problems.

There are a lot of ***holes in the world, probably as many as one per person. There are also some fine people, who (thankfully) outnumber the others.

I don't know why it is, in North American society, that when someone drives poorly or makes a mistake we begrudge that driver the right to consume oxygen.

My reaction to aggressive drivers is to back off and create a distance. Let them have the accident or the ticket, not me.

Does the term "road rage" mean anything to you? I will have no hope of getting "best answer" from you, but I will give my honest comment frankly and even bluntly.

IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR TEMPER ANY BETTER THAN YOU SEEM TO BE ABLE TO, YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN BE DRIVING.

You need to control your road rage. So what if someone cut you off - did he damage your car, or cause you any harm? No. But you over-reacted and drove your car dangerously close to his. It's an offense to sound a horn unless as a warning to a pedestrian or other vehicle of a hazardous situation. You leaned on it because you were annoyed.

You need some anger management classes.

Your behavior, "almost on his bumper" sounds like your are suffering from road rage. In most states it is against the law to drive in an aggressive manner, which you describe yourself doing. He can likely make a police report, and the photos will help the police to track you down.

Being "cut off" in traffic is not an offense which justifies dangerous driving on your part. You sound out of control. Next you will be driving around with a gun, just waiting for someone to offend you so you can exact your revenge.

Try, really really hard, to be more patient when driving, and remember that everyone is trying to get somewhere, and that getting there is important to them. It is just as important for that person to get to where they are going (to them) as it is for you to get where you are going.

CHILL OUT.

It is not like he did it just to keep you from getting to where you want to go.

His testimony will be all the "proof" needed to convict you if you have to go to trial. His word is as good as yours and if you lie on the witness stand and claim this didn't happen the jury will be able to tell.

Unless you broke the law, I don't see what he can prove with a photo of your license plate. The worst he can do is try to get the cops to do something, which is difficult to do unless you're a cop or have serious connections -- maybe that's what he meant by not knowing who he is. But there still needs to be evidence of something for you to get in real trouble.

You might want to ease up on the road rage, though, because it looks to me like you're one rude driver away from climbing to the top of a clock tower and picking off pedestrians with a high-powered sniper rifle. Mellow out, man.

Pictures of your plates mean nothing other than he was close enough to your car to take clear pictures. It proves nothing. It is still your word against his. So its not about what he can do but who he is? If he is a lawyer, cop or AG he is likely to be believed over you in a court of law if you are not one of the above.

First off he has no physical proff you did anything and he illegally took your picture without your permission. If it would have been of just the car it would have been ok but if he took a picture of you....well you can sue for harassament. And since he has nothing but his word and no hardcore physical evidence of any harm done but you on the other hand have a solid picture of some random jerk snapping your photo without your permission. I say if he makes some noise about what you did, turn around and do the same thing.

Anybody can take pics of your car, licence plate, etc. It just sounds to me like you got mad at him that's all for cutting you off. You didn't committ a crime or what not against him. you didn't hit his car from you wrote here. The guy does sound like an ***hole though. It could also be an identity theft attempt. If i were you I'd seek some advice on how to protect yourself from that.

It is your word against his. That will not hold water in a lawsuit. Besides it was just an intimidation move

I just hope his is not Chef of Police because he could have the police (his buddies) harass you with random stops and it will be hella annoying. I wouldn't worry about it. Screw him what a douche
