what is the solution to 2^x=9^x-9

please help!?!?!

Well, let's take the logarithm of both sides

x * log 2 = (x-9) * log 9

x (log 9 - log 2) = 9 log 9

Surely you can take it from there. :)

Note: It doesn't matter what base you use for the logarithm; that will cancel out. Understand WHY it will cancel, and you'll be in great shape on understanding logarithms overall.
