if zinc chloride is not completely dry when it is massed after reacting with hydrachloric acid, how would it affect the results of the ratio of zinc to chlorine?

If it is wet with HCl solution, you will get too high a ratio of Cl to Zn. If it is only wet with water, no difference at all; why should there be?
