Between these two models, the Honda is more reliable.
Less down time due to repairs.
One thing I don't like about the 400ex is it's not race ready.
It needs a lot of up-dates to be competitive.
The Raptor is super fast, but the engines keep breaking.
Starter clutch wares out.
Cylinder head gets starved for lubrication if the oil isn't changed regularly. Then the cam & head needs to be replaced.
Transmissions go bad with hard use and the reverse breaks down requiring transmission repair.
The rear axle bearings aren't sealed adiquitly and they sieze up when used in wet conditions.

i would suggest the 400ex because for one the 400 is bigger than the 350 and the 400ex is realiable. I have a 400ex and have had it for about 3 years now and havent had to lay a wrench on it. Just as long as you keep up the basic things like change oil clean filter and things like that you will be alright. Hope you like what you get and have fun with it and be safe at the same time
