Assuming you aren't having fun at everyone else's expense: Her reason for the affair was, before it even started, to extort money. It won't stop with the first two grand, either. It will be even worse (from your wife's point of view) after you spend it. And worse the next time you are asked to give still more. Etc. It won't ever end. You really have no choice here. And yes, it's likely she will carry through with the threat, as well. Even if she doesn't profit directly from it. But perhaps not. However, you won't be able to know. So you'd better talk with your wife, pronto, and admit you are foolish and dumb. The rest is between you two from then on and what you can make of the situation. But at least you won't be doing still more stupid things, like paying extortion. As far as the film on the internet? Someone else said that was illegal. Perhaps so. But so is extortion. Your better bet would be to record some conversations with this woman, allowing her to expose the attempt at extortion, and then take it to the District Attorney (after you have talked with your wife.) You may want to first ask police, or the DA, how to develop proper evidence before recording her, too.

you can do anything anonymously. use video and record but make sure he doesn't catch you. Wear a disguise if you like, have fun, even dress like a lady, buy foundation and change your complextion. Don't tell anyone that you are gonna do this not even your best friend. That is my advice. Make the best of it and good luck.
P.S it is not illegal to film in public places, however the work place is illegal. Anyway you can still catch him at work if you want as long as he doesn't have any idea who did it and make sure if ever questioned you say you have no knowledge of how to do stuff like that.

In the UK, generally speaking, you are allowed to film in a public place without permission, including the people in that location. You don’t need a release form/permission to film people on the street or passers-by as long as your camera is not concealed.
If you conceal the camera and still film him and it gets back to court or law enforcement, you could be convicted of a crime yourself.
Why not just call his wife anonymously and tell her he is cheating Same result, less work on your part.
Cheers!

Although you may not agree with his extra marital affairs this is the man who employs you .. who helps put food and clothing on you and you want to turn around and stab him in the back shame on you.
Its not your business. 2ndly you dont' know if he and his wife have an open marriage you haven't thought out all the possibilities. His wife could be cheating on him too. perhaps they both are only staying married for the company and nothing more or for business reasons.
so before you jump to conclusions STAY out of someone else's life. you have not walked in there shoes.
Oh and by the way your FIRED>

If you really must, try to do it anonymously....
Its probably illegal as an invasion of privacy or something so just make sure you don't get caught!
Maybe get a private detective to do the dirty work, if you want to pay someone else to protect yourself from being implicated.
Or if you give the wife an anonymous tip off to hire a detective then she can sort it out herself. You could just get the ball rolling.
good luck....

I am pretty sure you can bu tdon't get caught... Aren't you scared you might loose your job or are you planning to blackmail him with it.. If so that is against the law so i would advise against using it for that but if you want his wife to know then go ahead.. as long as your not doing anything with his wife on the side

Haha thats funny. I believe that privacy is only in your own home or a hotel. I think in a work area, on the street, or anywhere like that isnt private. I think its okay if you tape it and show his wife and wife only. If you spread it around you may get into trouble because it can hurt his repretation.

Guess you don't want your job huh?
No, it is not legal to stalk your boss with a video camera. You could be brought up on charges of harassment. You aren't a private investigator with a license...you are just a nosy busybody.
Why don't you just tell the wife he is cheating, and let her deal with it herself.

Not only is it not legal but after you get out of prison you won't even be able to get a job cleaning the toilets at McDonald's. But heck if you want to make less than minimum wage for the rest of your life go for it.

If he does it in a public place it's legal.
However, if you use the video to blackmail your boss, then it's highly illegal.
If you are using the video because you want to get with his wife once she dumps him. Good stuff. All is fair in love and war!
