Back when that happened Kennedy was hurt. The doctor told him he would need surgery (they thought it was the same injury Batista had) and would be out too long. So the WWE had him lose to Edge so Edge could take the spot. Well it turned out that doctor was WRONG.
He later went to Dr. Andrews (who does most major WWE operations) and Dr. Andrews told him it wasn't that serious and he didn't need surgery.
Needless to say Kennedy and the WWE were not too happy with the Doctor (I believe from Pittsburg) for being so far off.
Him losing the Money in the Bank brief case had NOTHING to do with drugs.

That's a long time ago,they let Kennedy win at WM 23 for the push of popularity,then had Edge win it to give him the title to set up a new storyline.

First of all, this happened months ago.
Kennedy hurt his arm and they thought that he would be out of action for a long time.
At the same time, both Undertaker and Batista were hurting and they needed someone big to go over to Smackdown to carry the show.
Since they felt that nobody on SD had the star power, they set up the Edge storyline.

Well he got busted for roids I think and I guess Edge was the only one who could take it.

Kennedy got suspended.....screwing up the MITB deal....and also his chance to be Vince's son.
