If you can replace c with y and n with x you get:
y = 50 + 25x
This can be graphed easily.
As for what values don't make sense, obviously you can't have a negative number of guests. I guess there is a $50 charge for the hall even if you have no guests, so only values of $50 and above make sense for the cost.
And in the real world, there would have to be some constraints to the number of guests allowed in a single hall, or the amount of money you can spend because of your budget. For example, you probably don't want to invite all 6 billion inhabitants of Earth and have to pay 150 billion dollars. :-)

easy. First of all lets break the problem down:
c= 50 + 25n
C=total cost
50= base price for running the party(y-intercept on your graph)
25n= 25 dollars times the amount of guests at the party
any numbers for C that dont make sense are less that 50 and any numbers that do not make sense for n are negative. The reason is because no matter what, you have to pay 50 dollars so the price will always be at least 50 dollars. You cannot have any negative numbers for n because you cant have negative people. I just learned about this in my class about a month ago.

Draw the graph of C = 50 + 25n . Let the y-axis be C and the x-axis be n. thus ordered pairs are of the form (n,c)
If n = 0 then C = 50 + 25(0) = 50 (0, 50)
If n = 5 then C = 50 + 25(5) = 175 (5, 175)
Use these points (or others you find) to draw the line.
It doesn't make sense for n or C to be negative, so this type of line graph is restricted to being in the first quadrant.
When you look at the line it models the fact that the cost is increasing as the number of guests increases.

assuming you mean C is the same as c
n is an independent variable, that is the number of the guest are independent of the cost of the party, but C, the cost of the pary depends on the number of guest, so it is the dependable variable.
therefore you can choose n to be any numbers
say
n = 0 , 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7,8, 9 etc
the cost c with respect to n is thus
n = 0 ----> c = 50
n = 1-----> c = 50 + 25*1 = 75
n = 2 -----> c = 50 + 25*2 = 100
etc
so your graph will be for n values against n values
for negative values of n (negative guests??) , then it does not make sense, as
say n = -1, -2, -3,
c = 25, 0, -25 ,doesn't make sense as the pplace will cost 50$ when no body comes,and not less than that, so negative values of n do not make sense.

You need to make a graph of what the cost would be for the party...
For every person that you add to the party the cost goes up 25... I'm assuming dollars...
The base cost is 50 and you add for the guests.
Your graph would start with 50 at zero and for every one guest it would go up...
At X value 0 you would have a Y value of 50
At 1 it would be 75
2 100
3 125
4 150
5 175
And so one...
Draw a graph where X starts at zero with Y of 50 and then has a slope of 25.
The ones that don't make sense are if you have a negative number of guests N<1
Or if your cost can be under the base cost C<50
Also it would not work if your C value was not a multiple of 25... The base cost is a multiple of 25 and adding 25 per guest would add 25 to that... Since you can't have a half of a guest you would have to add in increments of 25 per guest

ok, your graph will have the following equation: y = ax + b where a = 25 and b = 50. From there, try to resolve it when x=0. You see the constant is y=50, meaning your graph will have 50 as an origin on the y-axis. Then, when x=1, y=75, when x=2 y=100, .........
Then I guess it doesnt make sense to pay 50 even when you have no guests.

The graph is a straight line with the slope equal to 25.
The domain of the function is obviously from 0 to +â.
The range will be from 50 to +â.
So, those values of n that are negative and the corresponding values of C do not make any sense.

This is a linear graph so you need 2 points in order to plot it
At n = 0 c = 25
As n is the number of people, you do not want to go negative ( and I think this is what is meant by the last part)
So try say 20 people
c = 50 + 20 x 25 = 550
Plot those 2 and join them up
As well as n not being sensible when it is negative, neither is c as that implies money being paid to you for not having anyone there!

n < 0 makes no sense because it is not possible to have a negative number of attendees.
The hall costs 50 bucks whather anyone shows up or not (n = 0).
So C < 50 makes no sense because that is the minumum cost.

you can see from the equation that if there are no guests at all, you will still have to pay 50 bucks.The equation is in the form of y=mx+c where m is the slope and c the y intercept.One thing I can think of is that you cant have a negative value for n and hence not for c.
